What we collect when you book, text or visit this site, and what we do with it. The short version: we use your information to service your vehicle, and we don't sell it.

This policy covers wheatstateauto.com and the booking and texting tools on it. It's run by Wheat State Automotive Repair, 5522 E Harry St, Wichita, KS 67218, (316) 425-8705.
What we collect
- When you book online: your name, phone number, email, vehicle year/make/model and the service you want. Booking runs on Shopgenie, our scheduling provider.
- When you text us: your phone number and the messages you send, through the "Text us" button on this site or by texting (316) 425-8705 directly.
- When we service your vehicle: your contact details, vehicle information, inspection results, estimates and repair history, kept in Tekmetric, our shop management software.
- When you apply for financing: your application goes directly to Sunbit, Affirm or Klarna. We don't see or store your application details, only whether a plan was approved so we can complete the job.
- Site analytics: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without identifying you personally.
How we use it
- To schedule appointments, send digital inspection reports and quotes, and get your approval before work starts.
- To send appointment confirmations and reminders, and to let you know when your vehicle is ready.
- To answer your questions and keep a record of the work we've done on your vehicle.
- To keep the site working and understand which pages people use.
Text messages
By texting us, booking online, or giving us your mobile number at the shop, you agree to receive service-related text messages from Wheat State Automotive Repair, such as appointment confirmations, inspection reports, estimates and pickup notices. Message frequency varies by visit. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help. We don't send marketing texts without asking first, and we don't share your mobile number or texting consent with anyone else for their marketing.
Who else sees it
We share information only with the companies that help us run the shop and this site, and only as needed to do their job:
- Shopgenie for online booking and texting.
- Tekmetric, our shop management software, for estimates, digital inspections and repair records.
- Sunbit, Affirm and Klarna if you choose to finance a repair. Each lender has its own privacy policy that covers your application.
- Cloudflare for hosting and analytics, and Google for the map and fonts on this site. Google may set its own cookies when the map loads.
We don't sell your information, and we don't share it with advertisers. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
Keeping it safe, and how long we keep it
Repair records are kept as long as you're a customer and as long as we need them for warranty and tax purposes. Texting and booking records stay with our providers under their retention rules. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit access to people who need it to do their job.
Your choices
- Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving messages.
- Call or email us to see, correct or delete the contact information we have for you. We may need to keep repair and warranty records.
- You can always book by phone instead of online.
Children
This site and our services are for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
